While exploring Live in Harmony, one of Calgary’s newest communities, you will be greeted by an iconic sculptural installation that recalls the past, present and future of the area. “Cultivate” is a collaborative art project by artist Dan Corson and facilitated by Heavy Industries for developers Bordeaux Properties and Qualico Communities Calgary. Cultivate brings to life the vision of Corson, who recalls the rich history of farming in the area.
Cultivate consists of three internally lit plow sculptures, ranging in height from 16 to 23 feet. The sculptures were fabricated from weathering steel, and internally painted gold.
To celebrate the development of Harmony and its new entrance feature, the creative process of developing this exceptional work of art has been captured on film, from start to finish. We are proud to present to you “Cultivate: Making an Entrance”
